Mindfulness is one of today's huge buzz-words. No matter how I spin my words, this painting, 2010 No.10, just keeps getting better. I am paying attention to its needs. Its needs may be my needs. Again, no matter how I spin it, minding that which is in front of me, allowing that which is in front of me to call for change, following it needs by acting upon it, is mindfulness.
One of the great revelations that came yesterday is the absolute need for a painted frame. This made me think of Georges Seurat, who often did the same (see below).
