I am not sure it is actually the low of a bio-rhythm or just the thump of exhaustion after a few days of manic, hard work. In any case, the re-making of the painting "Balancing" was the peak of my recent energy output and yesterday's studio session was slow and tired. Nothing seemed to be quite right, as I struggled to be inventive and clear about the forms I was making. The new hands of the balancing man are example of this struggle. The basic idea is a good one, but the execution felt clumsy and looks clumsy. Yesterday's drawings are me struggling to be alive and well, and are nothing remarkable. Each promptly hit the file of drawings to be packaged away until someone other than myself decides if they are worry of existence.
