Yesterday I did a lot more than you see here. I prepared four (4) canvases for an explosion of painting! In many ways painting is not as easy as drawing. One basic difficulty with making a painting is preparation of the canvas — a canvas is not as easy to prepare as a piece of paper (obviously). I am ready to make paintings the way I make drawings, one after the other. So to get there I need to have several blank canvases ready to go. That I did yesterday.
One great pleasure yesterday included a couple hours in the the sun planting a new garden. Seeing growth in both beauty and substance is important to me. This you can see in gardening, but gardening lacks the personal reflection inherent when making art. Sometimes that's a good thing.
